Happy New Year's Eve and I'm Cleaning and Trying to Clear the Tables ...not doing very well at it though

Tryin' real hard to clear stuff...am cleaning so that is clearing the dust but not doing very well at this clearing bit...Where else do I put this stuff?
Photos later.....
Happy New Year's Eve
We had 19 degrees fahrenheit two days ago, then yesterday we had an earthquake at 7:55am Eastern Standard time and it turned 52 degrees. Today we had a tornado warning siren at 11:30am...went outside without a coat....What a way to end the year!

Can She Do It?

Time to think about the New Year's resolutions? Nah.I don't have any resolutions...I never keep them or else I make them too outrageous and unreachable. How about trying to be calm and happy and clutter controlled...I mean control my clutter. Yeah right..."In my mind"..as I always have said and have been kidded about saying that phrase..I want to put everything away and have table tops that you can 'lay'on. When I go to one particular friend's house...her table and dresser tops are clear as an icy reflective pond...I run up to them and lay my torso across the spans between a vase and a lamp. Such freedom I feel doing that. I tried it at home. Took me a half an hour just to remove the stuff so I could see the spans! Maybe the magic will work after January 1. Yeah, that might do it..... Is there a rule about keeping up the New Year's resolution through out the year? This might be one of those unreachable goals...I'll try it and let you know.

We Still Believe

My sister and I were talking about Santa yesterday. We believed wholeheartedly till we were 12 years old. No matter what any of the kids said I would not listen to them and believed with my heart. When she heard the other kids talk about no Santa she would walk away. My sister asked our mom when she was 12 to tell her the truth "Mother, is there really a Santa Claus?" My mother paused and replied..."If you stop believing there is no magic."
We still believe....do you?

Eve Before the Eve

Well, it is the eve before the eve of the most anticipated day of the year...everyone is out and about..the drugstore was filled with people tonight...picking up last minute gifts I suppose...one mother with her pre-teenager was picking out gifts for Buster and Molly...I am assuming these giftees are their furry friends since they were in the pet aisle! But you never know! The drugstore is the best place to find Christmasy boxed candy and a good Christmasy decorating magazine...I guess since the day is almost here, I'll need to put those decor ideas to work next year.
Went to a local department store yesterday...found a couple things for me..isn't that always the way...we have to "Merry Christmas to Me" sometimes..we all do it. I have often thought that we should all, one Christmas, go shopping together..all the relatives and friends and pick out just what we want and every one will stand around and admire you with your choice and then you each take turns buying what you chose and say..."I would have picked that for you..I'm so glad you like it!" That way everyone gets what they want and then have a big party after..no pressure...just bring on the food and festivity!

I'll Light the Fire....

I'll light the fire
You put the flowers in the vase
That you bought today

Staring at the fire
For hours and hours
While I listen to you
Play your love songs
All night long for me
Only for me

Come to me now
And rest your head for just five minutes
Everything is good
Such a cosy room
The windows are illuminated
By the sunshine through them
Fiery gems for you
Only for you

Our house is a very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you
And our la,la,la, la,la, la, la, la, la, la, la.....

Our house is a very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you
And Our

I'll light the fire
And you place the flowers in the jar
That you bought today

Interesting Thoughts to Ponder

You will notice that those who speak most of prosperity, have it. Those who speak most of health, have it. Those who speak most of sickness, have it. Those who speak most of poverty, have it. It is Law. It can be no other way... The way you feel is your point of attraction, and so, the Law of Attraction is most understood when you see yourself as a magnet getting more and more of the way you feel. When you feel lonely, you attract more loneliness. When you feel poor, you attract more poverty. When you feel sick, you attract more sickness. When you feel unhappy, you attract more unhappiness. When you feel healthy and vital and alive and prosperous—you attract more of all of those things. Abraham

Christmas Feeling

I feel the need to clean the house. I feel the need to put up more Christmas decorations than just the little tree. I feel the need to go to the basement/dungeon and dig through boxes for Christmas lights so that the neighbors don't think we are depressed. I feel the cold, wet snow on my wrists...I feel the need to wipe it off quickly. I feel the need to have my tire on my car checked out by a professional even though I am pretty sure this below 0 fahrenheit temp has caused it to deflate a bunch and alarm me.
I have a lot of feelings of need, and yet I sit at this computer and type....
I am enjoying all of your Christmasy blogs...that puts me in the spirit.
(look Nadine! Fiennes isn't in this post!hahaha)

Torosay Castle at Last....The Christmas Tea

The Castle....

The Tea.....

Me.....

And He......

Enroute to Torosay Castle......lovely visit at Kenilworth Castle

I promised Mr. Toast that I would post some photos of my stay at Kenilworth Castle with Ralph Fiennes. Our stay was short but just enough for me to get the feel of England before trotting off to Scotland to Torosay Castle for the fabulous Mr. Toast's 2nd Annual Christmas tea. It was a bit snowy, but I didn't feel a bit chilled being with you-know-who. You may not know, but I fell madly in love with the elegant Ralph when I saw him in the 1992 film version of Wuthering Heights~my favorite book. And I have always been drawn to English men. Oh, how I longed to be Juliette Binoche as Catherine...they were perfect together so you can understand how awestruck I was when he graciously accepted my offer to the famously touted Christmas Tea of Mr. Toasts in Scotland. This fantasy trip is fulfilling every longing...and it's not over yet...the best is yet to come today!
It's a new moon today too....I am assured my purse will be full!

You can be sure we will be there with bells on our toes!

Mr. Toast's 2nd Annual Christmas Tea

I have just received by special courier our calligraphy penned invitation to Mr. Toast's 2nd Annual Christmas Tea.
I have quite astutely , purchased our travel arrangements to Scotland. As luck would have it, Ralph Fiennes and I will be traveling in high style. For this much touted event, no expense should be spared~however, we were very lucky~perhaps the reservationist realized it was The Ralph Fiennes and his companion and that made all the difference in the world!
So much ado about the incidentals...here is what I will be enveloped in when attending the ball on the arm of the most delicious man in the world.

First we will fleetingly visit Kenilworth Castle for Ralph~he misses England so~and then onto Scotland.
Ralph and I are very excited to meet my blogger friends at The Christmas Tea~Lord Thomas of Wellington and Ladycat, Willow, A Brit in Tennessee..and many more that I haven't met by written word yet. I have told him all about them and he is hoping that when they see him they will look beyond the recent role of Voldemort and see him as Heathcliff....as I visualize him as always.
I am going to rest a wee bit now before we leave on our excursion...this dress needs a suitcase all it's own. I wonder if the airline will bock at my antique trunk...a girl must have a full size trunk to transport a ball gown.
