I hadn't blogged for a very long time and I'll tell you I was inspired by Kim of Daisy Cottage when I read her blog about her beloved Maggie. I was suddenly able to type somewhat of how I feel about Kitton's passing on the comment portion of her blog..and you know what? She really does read what we write to her and she expressed her sympathy to me. That meant alot to me..she is a really sweet genuine lady!
It's been just a little over a month and maybe now I can actually talk about it. We lost our beloved kitty Miss Au'Kitton on Oct. 29, 2009. She was just fine, never had any physical problems, never even expelled a fur ball. But on that fateful day, she was fine when I left at 6:20am that morning and by 9:46am Michael found her lying in the middle of the living room on her side. She doesn't usually lie in the middle of the floor but then again, our house is small and the cats lie anywhere that is in the way :)! He called me and was so hysterical I couldn't understand what he was saying. I had just talked to him less than 5 minutes before since I was trying to catch him before he left to get his hair cut. It was on his way out to the door that he saw her and saw that she didn't move to the sound of his voice. I just wish this was a dream..but it is the longest dream I have ever had. She was my baby! Michael's kitty, Miss Indy, is 18 and has some impending health issues but she is still ticking! Kitton was 12. Every night Miss Indy goes to the spot where Kitton died and lies down on her side and puts her little head down on the carpet. Every night! She misses her soo much~even though she swatted Kitton a lot!
