One of my favorite blogs is by Paula~Serendipity. It is so calming to me and she is such a genuine person which you can tell because it exudes through her writings. Her pictures are lovely and when I read her blog I become inspired. She had a very heartfelt post on Feb 11 you should read. I applaud her. She is from a part of the country that is being examined by the media tonite with a (I fear) slanted reveal.

Hi, Kimmy! Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my blog and for your kind words! I appreciate them so much. I always try to blog from the heart...really the only way I know how to do it. I guess blogging is sort of a therapy for me! I enjoy it so very much. The best part about it is meeting such sweet people like you!

I watched the special tonight. I cried. I cried for several reasons: one, they portray the entire region as a complete wasteland, and two, what I saw on 20/20 tonight DOES exist. I've seen it first hand, worked with children who have lived in those situations, and it always breaks my heart. What they DIDN'T mention is that we can go ANYwhere and find people living that way. It's not something that is restricted to Appalachia. So sad. I miss home, and I miss those beautiful mountains. I lived there until three years ago, and now I go home every chance I get. My parents, grandmother, and dear friends still live there. It will always be "home."

I love the photos you've posted on your blog! And I LOVE the name of your blog!

Please come visit me again soon! Have a lovely weekend, and Happy Valentine's Day!
