I'll Light the Fire....

I'll light the fire
You put the flowers in the vase
That you bought today

Staring at the fire
For hours and hours
While I listen to you
Play your love songs
All night long for me
Only for me

Come to me now
And rest your head for just five minutes
Everything is good
Such a cosy room
The windows are illuminated
By the sunshine through them
Fiery gems for you
Only for you

Our house is a very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you
And our la,la,la, la,la, la, la, la, la, la, la.....

Our house is a very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you
And Our

I'll light the fire
And you place the flowers in the jar
That you bought today

It's a great song, isn't it? And that sofa is just calling me to curl up with a good book. xx

oh that brought back some lovely memories...long hair...long skirts...

I remember after a particularly poignant teenage love affair ended, sitting and listening to nothing except Neil Young for hours on end.
(How depressing was that!)

Well, we must all be close in age to have memories..some good some not so good of this song. It just came to me suddenly last nite and I had to put the lyrics down in a post...don't know why some ideas come to me ...out of nowhere!

It looks very cosy and inviting. You look about ready to enjoy the rest of the year.

Ken, I always get a little sad when a year ends and a little anxious when new one starts.
This end of the year is cozy feeling because of all the snow we are having here. We have certainly had a white December and are assured to have a White Christmas.
