Our Family's treasured Christmas Ornament.

Couldn't resist showing this treasured 80+year old Christmas ornament of my mother's before I lovingly tuck it back into my oriental cabinet for safe keeping. She had this since she was a little girl and it was on her tree since she was wee. Now it is on mine. It is a chalk faced Santa on skis and my sister and brother graciously entrusted me with keeping him after our mother passed away~they know how much it meant to her and how much care I will give it each Christmas.

What a treasure you have, Kim! He's lovely, and made even more so by the fact that he was your mother's ornament as a child. How special!

THANK YOU for your kind, sweet words you recently left on one of my blog postings. I'm humbled that you visit my blog and find inspiration there. Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I do hope you'll continue to stop by and visit with me. I plan to do the same with you!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that your New Year is off to a happy beginning! Don't you love the feeling of new beginnings? A chance to wipe the slate clean on those projects or promises we did not quite complete during the old year...we have a brand new chance!

Enjoy your day, Kim! Your kind posting has definitely made my day!

God's Blessings,
Paula

Kim, we LOVED our B&B, and we were sad to close it, but we did so for a good reason - adopting a baby and wishing all our extra time and energy to go to him or her. Someday we may decide to open up the B&B again, but for now we will continue to live in the house and enjoy all the extra space for our family. It was always a lot of work, but it was worthwhile. We met some of the most wonderful people in the world and made lifelong friends of many of them!
